A ping-pong table must be stable both during play and when stored away. A model with brakes offers a clear advantage in terms of stability over one that does not have them. Once unfolded, brakes aren't the only feature that keeps a table in place. The legs also play a key role. It’s not uncommon to bump into the table while playing, especially during intense rallies. A table with thicker legs will stay more firmly in place in such situations than one with thinner legs and a lighter frame.
