The bounce of the ball on ping pong tables
The quality of the bounce is a key component of the quality of play, along with the restitution of spin. The thickness of the playing surface directly impacts the height and therefore the quality of the bounce. We believe that every player should be able to benefit from a high-quality bounce. Some experienced players are very sensitive to the thickness of the tabletop.
For these demanding players, who often play in clubs or those who prefer the bounce on particleboard tables, Cornilleau outdoor tables have a playing surface made of laminated resin, with thicknesses up to 8 mm for the 700X, providing a bounce similar to that of a competition table. Another important factor is the frame. This is the part surrounding the playing surface. It supports the tabletop and ensures its excellent flatness over time. The thicker it is, the better it maintains the playing surface.
Tables approved by the French Table Tennis Federation
Choosing a Cornilleau table means choosing a table recognized by a particularly demanding organization, especially when it comes to the quality of play: the FFTT (French Table Tennis Federation). Partner of the French Table Tennis Federation for over 30 years, Cornilleau has had all of its tables validated by the FFTT, which has granted two approvals: one for leisure tables and the other for competition tables.
Anti-glare coatings for better quality of play
For optimal outdoor play quality, we recommend paying attention to the finish of your ping pong table's playing surface. Cornilleau outdoor tables are equipped with an anti-glare coating to ensure that the sun's rays do not dazzle the players. There are two different types, depending on the model. The Mattop finish, which equips the tables in the Performance range, reduces the intensity of sun reflections by ten times. The Softmat finish, found on the tables in the Sport range, reduces them by three times.
