Playing Ping Pong Safely

Play Ping Pong Safely with Cornilleau Table Tennis Tables

While table tennis may seem like a perfectly safe activity at first glance, handling a large object like a ping pong table isn't always risk-free, especially for children.

That’s why Cornilleau has developed the safest security systems on the market to prevent any accidents.

The European standard EN 14468 outlines the safety requirements for a table in both playing and storage positions. It also defines standards for locking and rolling systems. Cornilleau has chosen to go well beyond the demands of this standard thanks to several innovations. Most Cornilleau ping pong tables now feature 16 locking points instead of the 8 required. This patented system offers many advantages, including one that automatically blocks the table at a 65° angle when unfolding it without holding the handle, preventing it from falling abruptly.

Patented Locking and Unlocking System

Folding tables are equipped with one of two systems that allow for safe opening, closing, locking, and unlocking of ping pong tables. The first, a decentralized system called Push’n Lock, relies on buttons located on the sides of the table. With 8 locking points, it meets the required safety standards. The second system uses a centralized release handle, which enables both opening and closing of the table, as well as locking it in the playing position. This patented centralized system, called DSI, features 16 locking points and provides an unmatched level of safety. For example, if a child begins to open the table and lets go of the handle, the tabletop locks at a 65° angle, preventing it from falling abruptly and causing injury.

Corner Protection

Bumping into the corner of a table is never pleasant and can be painful. Corner protectors help prevent this kind of discomfort, which can especially occur during around-the-table games.

Brakes

A ping-pong table must be stable both when you’re playing and when it’s stored. A model equipped with brakes therefore offers a clear advantage in terms of stability compared to one that isn’t.

Available from the leisure outdoor table 200X to the 700X outdoor, and also on the Instinct, Prestige, and Black Code-ID 2, they will ensure your fast-paced games are always safe and stable.
